Dr. Meg Walker at Weddington Animal Hospital NC

Dr. Meg Walker

Dr. Meg Walker is a North Carolina native, growing up in Weddington just a few miles away from the practice. She is very happy to be able to return and serve the local community where she grew up. She has always had a strong love for animals and has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was three years old.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Western Carolina University in 2014 and graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2018. She received her acupuncture certification through the Chi Institute in May 2018, even studying and traveling throughout China during veterinary school to immerse herself completely in acupuncture training.

Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is getting to know her patients and their owners. Her goal at each visit is to provide individualized care for each pet while making the visit as stress free as possible. When she is not in the clinic, she can be found at a local spin class, riding horses, swimming, hiking in the mountains with her husband, Ben, and their dog, Luna, or watching Panthers football with her cats, Luke and Penelope.

Dr. Nathan Williams

Dr. Nathan Williams spent the first half of his childhood in Browns Summit, North Carolina, while the second half was spent in Eagle River, Alaska. After taking a year to work as a veterinary assistant, he then continued his education and graduated from the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, focusing on small animal medicine. Dr. Williams feels blessed to be able to do what he does for a living.

Joining the world of veterinary medicine has allowed him to participate in incredible experiences with a wide variety of species, as well as make great memories with the amazing people and animals he has gotten to work with.
